Ie have a grey character, and as the magic scent bean moves beneath his nose, I want color to radiate out from his nose and fill him with wonder scent. I have this rigged with dp Marker Pen texture. ( Well okay, I don't have it rigged yet, but I'm pretty sure I get the idea )

The issue is:
Now I want to have 5 copies of my character that all do the same thing, but at different times as the magic bullet finds them.
So I want to duplicate the same guy, with the same texture setup, but be able to specify how long it takes my radius to expand for each guy individually...

?

(I'd prefer not to save the same model 5 times, especially if I decide I like the effect and want to do 100's...)

If you have cloned object (or simply named the same way with (number) in brackets),
you can use TrueArt's Node Library
http://www.trueart.eu
Tools > Extended Item Info > Clone Index,
and read item name suffix number.
Then use that number to offset +-frame or +-time..

I showed it in this video tutorial
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJHSPseh8hU

I see Marker Pen node takes start frame, end frame, as inputs. Should be doable with procedure as above..
