View Full Version : Layout not saving edited texture nodes.

I'm doing a crowd scene and randomly assigning colors to different models through the "Instance Info" node. I make sure I save the scene 3 times, and while it may actually save one or two changes, I will inevitably have to go back and remake the nodes.

Am I missing something in order to make sure nodes get saved? or is this a bug?

EDIT

Turns out you have to explicitly save the objects through File -> Save -> Save * Object.

Yes, surface settings are saved with the lwo file...not in the lws file.

Get free plugin SaveSceneAndAllObjects from http://www.trueart.eu
and assign to short-cut.
And use it instead of regular Layout save functions.
This way you will never lose data.

What is the difference between that plugin and the native save all command?

When I made this tool Save All didn't exist.. :)

SaveSceneAndAllObjects comes with SaveSceneAndAllObjectsIncrement (either objects & scene).

They are disabling any requesters.
Not sure whether Save All is such 'quiet'.

Edit. No it's not quiet. Showing two annoying (at least me) requesters.

Thats what I thought....you wrote it before it was available in lw, though I think it has been there now for many versions natively, and yes...thatīs what I thought (point2)
You have made yourīs without requesters, thatīs nice if One would prefer that workflow that is, if not careful, one could ruin objects shared with other scenes...so you save out a material tweak on objects also used in other scenes...which should have another surface.
