hello
i exportex an object from 3dsmax file as obj
than i import it in modeler
when i send it to layout and apply fiberfx nothing happened : 0 guides / 0 fibers

i don't understand why fiberfx very very slow
in blender i quickly create nice hair and rendering with cycles fast
but in lightwave !

ok ; i used hair already exist in one of simple scenes from lightwave folder and it's work fine

Usually the settings are what cause the slowdown and not the fibers themselves and then most of the time it comes down to the shadowing function for the fibers.

i have alot of crahses with lightwave ; sometimes with small objects
is lightwave based on gpu ? because my laptop very slow when using gpu and memory limited to 4 gb

The renderer is CPU and main memory based, the GPU is only used for the opengl display.

One thing to note is GI is very slow with FFX, so use the Ambient setting in FFX to add fill light and don't use the GI toggle in it. We'd really need to see your scene though to properly diagnose your problem.

thank you very much
the actual scene is good but crashes happened alot with different reasons ; sometimes when i load a scene modeler or layout crashed
i think lightwave need more powerful pc !
