Does anyone know how to re-create the expanding foam in this video?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gqOCxJ4ZVE

I've tried having particles emit other particles but it never looks like its growing or expanding it just looks like its exploding.
I have access to realflow and havent found a solution in there either.

Thanks!

I'd use a Gradient on the HV size, using the Particle Age as input. Here's a quick sample scene.

I thought of this, the problem is I want the foam to expand into cracks and holes and react to collision objects.

I'll probably just have to settle with that method though...

Maybe a combination of a Parent-End child emitter with the foam HVs, keep the expanded HV size fairly small but keep additive Blending mode on, and then direct the parent nozzel into the cracks and holes with movement and rotation (like the nozzel of a real-life spray can of this type of expanding foam). The child particles could react to collision objects. Dunno. Good luck!
