Interesting tools. Toofarm mentioned Daniel Federico in another vid. This his work? I had some of his scripts.

I would kill for a non-destructive loft tool in lightwave. Even if its not interactive.
Sensei, 3rdpowers, etc, is this possible in modeller? Rope editor shows some hint of possibility.

A lot of these new modeler plugins would be useful for UV mapping.

Nope. But it looks like dropping the tool is permanent as with most tools in lw and its younger brother modo.
The video with 3dmax is non-destructive. You can change the shape profile and also the spline path if you wanted anytime.

Tool chefs cooking up some trouble! Great to see new tools on the market.

Rope Editor is the only tool for LW that I've seen with a 'history'; that is to say, it is the only one you can come back to to edit, as in from scratch.
i expected other tools to get such innovation but alas, no.

Hairblade. You choose a curve and a shape (which is defined in the profile list) and it extrudes the shape along the curve. You can convert this to polys for rendering and keep the 'hairblade' which you can update and modify as you wish. If you have multiple profiles with the same number of points, you can morph from one to another along the curve. Rotate/scale the profile at each point as you wish. Awesome for making ropes etc. I just keep the hairblade in a backup layer and then I can modify it at any later point. And there are 32 and 64 bit flavours.
