Hi,

You mentioned rendering the characters seperate. I've found this plugin. Animated limited region .

http://www.pixsim.co.uk/

http://www.vray.com/vray_for_3ds_max/tutorials/rendering_an_animation_with_moving_objects_tutoria l.shtml

I know Vray has a spherefade plugin for this. We can use the same technique with the animated limited region plugin, right? Would it be usefull to bake the global illumination of the static lighting using the Camera baking tools?

I really liked the last 8 minutes of your video. The rest was also more then ok. As usual.

No harm in giving it a try I guess... but I can't see how the animated limited region is going to be of much help. The idea of doing a deforming mesh in a separate pass was to keep things isolated from the GI to get around the artifacts.. With the vray method, you've got this volume fade which works for blending the 2 passes in comp, but with LR, you're just going to have this "square" around things, I think it'd be likely to be more obvious and less helpful.

Still dont understand how did rendering seperate works...
We want flicker free animation,so we split the animation into a background part, and animation part.
But when we have multiply animated characters in the animation part,do we need to split each character as a layer?
