View Full Version : Lw brush. Knife tool question?

04-05-2015, 01:41 PM
When you use the LW brush "Knife tool " you use it in a freehand way.
Is there a way to do a straight line through an object in any direction similar to LW own knife tool.
Thanks for any info.
Regards KEN.

There should be a Line/Curve mode in knife tool. Are you using Lw brush v1.02?

Thanks for your reply.
I can not find any reference as to what version I have to answer your question.
All I can say is that I bought LW Brush about 2 months ago.
There was also an update file.
I installed both.
When you open the knife tools properties panel there is no line/curve option.
There is Split /Skin /Solid/Auto Triangulation and a couple of other items.
Im hoping that your question is saying that I may not have the latest version available.
I did try to use the LW Brush site email facility to ask the question but for what ever
reason there internal email would not work for me hence my question in this forum.
Regards KEN.

Hi again.
Ive managed to send an email to the Lightwave brush site via my google mail/compose.
Hopefully they will reply saying there is an update that includes the Line/Curve modes.
Will inform you of the outcome.
Bye for now KEN.

I emailed them sometime ago asking if there was a way to get straight lines using the topology tool, but sadly never got a reply.
