We run a live to tape news broadcast and are noticeing a 2-3 frame latency in audio from the video. The audio runs through a soundmixer first, is this causing the latency and can I adjust this somehow in VT3?

Hmmm..... have you tried using the PA output?

(Oops - if you have an SX-8)

Actually, the audio does not go through the VT3 at all, rather straight to the deck. I actually had it wrong, I believe the video is lagging behind the audio. Should I run the Audio through the VT3 or what?

If you run all your audio through VT it will sync with the video.

Our VT delays the Audio by 70.43ms. Thats under 2 frames, acceptable for live screens

BUT we try not to run Audio through the VT purely for the quality of the output going to the PA. So we split sends and delay, around the VT, Live screens and the record feeds as needed.
