View Full Version : Not sure why imported .obj renders with lines...

I'm not sure why this .obj that i imported renders with all these lines...
Also when I imported it into modeler it always has the default view of texture wire frame, not sure if that has something to do with it or not.

could be that some back-facing polygons are welded to front-facing polygons when they shouldn't be. Just check for junk polygons, delete any vertex normal data in the surface editor and resave it as lwo.

My money is on vertex n map(s) :thumbsup: :)

If that or jason's other suggestions don't do it, post the obj.

yes smoothed normals, turn them off in texture editor, just remembered I had a normal map come with an obj file I dl'd and that looked pretty much like this, turned out it was not in line space, just flipping it over cured it
