here is a volcano explosion caught on camera.

I know there are plenty of people who would like to know what real plumes look like. here they are.

interesting to note the little details like.
1) small bits falling from the cloud
2) the entire island is covered in low laying smoke
3) the clouds on the top - similar to f16 flyby with their wings i guess.
4) the speed of the plume is also really really good reference for anyone who does this kind of thing.

Nice video! Although the erruption is not that big it is kind of interesting how the schockwave blows away the clouds high in the sky. Never had observed that before.

As I saw on some photos on that topic it's supposed to be real ... here's an example:

This one looks pretty impressive ... doesn't it?

Perhaps it depends on the type of ammo used firing the guns on how much fireballs it yields.
