View Full Version : solid objects warp using bones

I'm starting an animation where the figures will have rigid objects attached to their animated figures. The objects are placed in separate layers, and then I used the bones of the first layer object (the body) using "Bones from object" in layout to keep the objects with the body. As to be expected, I guess, the "rigid" objects warped as the figure moved (see within circle of render). How do you attach rigid objects to a boned animated figure and yet avoid having them warp as well?

Hi Chris...
Two ways:
* parent the rigid objects to the bones
* Use weightmaps (you'll have to play with those), and may be some "holder" bone just for the rigid object.
