View Full Version : Offseting Instances Surface

Hello friends!
I have a scene with an instanced object generated over another object. The instanced object is animated and the animation is offseted by a weight map.
I want to also animate the surface (matching the animation).
I'm sure that nodes is the way to go, but I cannot find a fitting example.
Can someone help?

I leave here a simplified version of what I am doing.

Animate the surface?

In what way, deformation, opacity, scale, off set?

I was thinking of animating color + diffuse/luminosity, to achieve a "power on - stand by" on each instance. This is an armor "forming" on a person's body. The surface animation has to match precisely the animation of each instance, so it has to be driven by the same parameters.
