What keeps one object from going through to the other object that it is raycasting against? It seems to work fine as long as the objects are below the Y axis. See attached. Any help would be appreciated.

Once you move the object up higher than the original position of the ray cast object then the ray from the ray cast object does not see that object. The ray goes straight down without hitting anything.

Ahhh. Just to cement this in my mind: rays are cast from raycast objects at the objects' keyframed position-- evaluation occurs from the keyframed position.

That seems to be a very good way to keep it straight in my mind too.
