HELLO FRIENDS, here is one of 3 proposal for a sculpture competition I recently entered. 2 of my 3 submissions were done using LW 11.0.2.

I have an opportunity to have this "maquette" transformed into a larger than life sculpture BUT I need your vote to move onto the final selection committee stage of this competition that benefits the scholarship fund at the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI) Please have a look at the link(s) below and consider giving my submission a vote. I also have 2 other submissions that you can vote for too: "Why Art?" and "Internode" that are listed on the main competition page. "Why Art?" was also modeled in LW 11.0.2 and "Internode" was made with more traditional photo-imaging methods . . . The rules allow for more than one submission and they also allow for voters to vote for more than one proposal. You can't vote twice for the same proposal but you can vote for all my submissions if you like them. Please go have a look at this one and look up the other one on the main page and vote for both of my proposals. These are similar looking sculpture but if you look closely the basic building block elements are different. When you follow this link please check out the media files at the bottom of the page. There is a YouTube slideshow video of a walk around, but even more exciting to me is the 3D Model viewer what you can manipulate the model and look at it from almost any angle. Once you click on the viewer use:

* Your Mouse Wheel zooms the model
* Rotate the model with your Left Mouse Button and & Pan it with your Right Mouse Button

So please have a look. Voting ends December 31st so do it now before the Holidays distract you and you forget . . . Please share the link if you are so inclined and THANKS!

Voting ends December 31st . . . Thank you . . . Kim

I really love how this 3D Model viewer allows you to view any 3D model up close. If you haven't looked at my submissions to this Sculpture Competition please at least have a look at my 3D models done in Lightwave, 11.0.2. If you like what you see please follow the links above and go vote for my entries to this competition . . . I think it would be great to have one of my 3D models turned into a large scale piece of public art, but I need votes to get into the second stage of this competition . . . Thank you for having a look.

It would be cool to see a real life LightWave sculpture come to life. Good luck.

Hey thanks for having a look empchan. I appreciate you taking the time to check it all out. I will definitely let folks know if I make it to round 2 of the selection process and if I'm picked I'll share the process I go though to the completion and final product!

. . . TIME IS RUNNING OUT . . . I just received this notification from the Zahner Competition and I'd like to urge everyone here to go and check it out and GIVE ME YOUR VOTES to help me reach the second stage of the selection process. Help me reach that final selection process. Surely I should be able to garner a few more votes . . . My entries are called: "Y Art?" - "Why Art?" & "Internode" . . . I'll be sure and post if I make it into the second stage . . . Thank You . . . Kim

"This is just a friendly update from the Zahner 6th Biennial Art Competition. We've had an amazing turnout — over six hundred people have signed up and voted. Still, the average entry only has twenty votes. The difference of just a handful of votes can put many of the entries into the running for the top twelve finalists . . . Voting ends in just three days, on New Year's Eve at Midnight, Central Time Zone. The twelve finalists will be announced January 1, 2015, and each finalist will have the option of presenting their concepts to the jury on January 13, 2015 at 4pm Central time."
