Looks like it will be a great New Year with Pixologic with another free update, the last update in the version 4 series.

what interests me is the modeling tools that will be available. This upgrade really looks interesting and really has me looking.

I'm thinking that the poly-modelling tools will possibly get me back into using Zbrush, they look like magic, it's certainly a fantastic update before the next paid upgrade.

Here's a more in-depth look at the new stuff coming in 4R7. Nanomesh and Qmesh look great.

Thanks for the link, my head is already exploding trying to master the features of various software, it's like being told you can have as much money as you can take being piled on top of you, you lie there being crushed under it's weight and think "No more!" and "Moar!" both at the same time.

Is it confirmed that ZB5 will be a paid upgrade?

The only thing that is confirmed about Zbrush 5 is that it will be 64 bit only. And good riddance to 32 bit.

Can't wait for the update, though interesting that while Zbrush seems to be developing tools like LW Modeler, 3rd Powers are developing extremely innovative 'out there' Modeler plugins. Check out Cresshead's thread on LW Brush.
