Has anyone tried this yet? With the the latest drivers it immediately crashes everytime as soon as I move the spacemouse pro.

I was waiting to see if anyone had tested the drivers yet on LW2015.

What driver are you using?

I tried first with the older driver I've been using. Then I updated to the lastest release... 3Dware 10.2 (windows 64bit released on 11/14) and I got the same result.

By older driver I assume you mean v3.18.0. I would go back to v3.18.0, as that works great with my SP Pro. By great I mean in all the apps I use except LW.

Gave up trying to get it to work in LW11, so unless they have tweaked something it's a lost cause.

yep... all other apps work great with the old and new driver. Yes... they have definiitely tweaked something.. there is a new navigation panel and its clearly stated as a new feature. And I was hopeful that they finally made it smoothly work... so its pretty disappointing to say the least.

It works fine on my machine! It's waaaay improved support... Not sure why it wouldn't be working on some machines.
I've tested the latest 3dxware and the old v3 drivers. In fact the 3dxware support works better than the older one, for me anyway.

I upgraded to 2015 on day one. Then upon touching the 3d mouse it crashed. Repeatedly. Next day it worked fine. No problems since. Upgraded to the latest drivers 3 days ago and there are no crashes. So, in conclusion, I have no idea what happened on the very first tries.

Do you find the new 2015 3d connexion support way better than it was before?
I find the modeler support is awesome!! I use it all the time now... Whereas previously I only ever used it in 3dsmax

Are you using the trial/demo of LW2015? On mine, they crashed the moment I touched my 3d mouse. Once I'd updated to the full version of 2015 it worked perfectly. Hope this helps solve the mystery.

3DxWinCore V 17.2.1.11058

So, it now seems time to get a 3DConnexion device. Which of the models does everyone prefer?

I have the small, wired one (not the wireless one), and the spacemouse pro. The small one is handy if you're short on money and space, but it does slip around the desk a little (unless you have a small rubberised pad underneath it).
The spacemouse pro is lovely!! Very nicely designed, but a little bit pricey.
Enter the competition to win one on their website, that's where I got mine! :)

Even after the update 1, the demo crashes upon touching the mouse every time. I'll probably upgrade soon regardless and hope it will work but I'm very unhappy about not being able to demo this.

You say "after Update 1" and "probably upgrade". Are you on a Demo/Trial version? IIRC, others have reported issues with those versions, but not with the full release.

Find any use for the LCD panel?
How about the Dual Function Quickview Keys? SpaceMouse Pro seems to only have single function and I'm wondering if pressing "F" twice on it will then show the Back.
Do you use the extra Navigation Settings keys? Interested in Speed and ability to turn off translation. SMP seems to disable only rotation.
Really unsure how the Dominant Mode key works.

I'm considering whether having a SpaceMouse Pro Wireless is an advantage over the SpacePilot Pro. I'm not going to use it for presentations (that I can foresee) and the USB wires that the SMP has for charging and operation when the battery dies will be there anyway.

I prefer Space Mouse Pro ! I don't like buttons placement with Space Pilot Pro !
