So, are there those who believe LW should have a pathtracer as a renderer?

I don't know what that is so by nature I want it.

What's a path tracer?

Made by newtek? maybe.
Made by third party? Already there.
There are some other tools I would like to see more in lightwave than a pathtracer, like a text tool module to plug into layout or modeller that is non destructive.

Yup, definitely in the category of"would be nice, but other stuff needs sorting first".

We have Kray (http://www.kraytracing.com). It has one of rendering options path tracing.

Pathtracing is *easy* to create.
Means very slow render.
