I did a fountain tutorial today if anyone needs this kind of thing. It goes into weight maps, texturing, modeling, animating, and bump maps.

Just scanned through quickly - need to go back and watch all the way through - but looked wonderful.
THANKS for the time and effort in making a easy and clear tut!

Glad some peeps are getting some info from it. I'll try and get some more stuff up soon. Some flocking and/or destruction tuts.

Nice tutorial indeed. Can never have enough tutorials. Flocking, Instances, Dynamics and destruction tutorials always welcome.

Great tutorial! Thanks. The only thing I couldn't figure out was the settings for some of the middle part of the gradients.

Great tutorial! Thanks. The only thing I couldn't figure out was the settings for some of the middle part of the gradients.

Ok keen eyes. You're right. I went back and saw that I made that a weight map "inverted" (I put the middle as 0% and the outsides as 100% for the droplets). So just reverse the alpha layer as seen on screen for the middle droplets part.

Dude, this is an awesome tutorial and I didn't even make it to the particle stage yet. I'm getting great info on water texturing. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this!!
