My good friend Jon Gress just released a book on Visual Effects and Compositing that I wanted to share a link to with the community. Itís a fantastic book that covers so much. Iím impressed with just how much information is in this single book.

Although this book is software agnostic, there are many examples in the book that Jon uses LightWave which should make it particularly interesting for LW users.
Have a look over on Amazon for more info.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I think you mentioned a cool looking modelling series for $50 from the Modo site. I can't find it Foundry may have finally pulled the plug on the old Luxology interface for good.

Can you provide me that link again?

The artist took you through creating a cartoon girl model.

It's no longer on the Foundry site. :(

I'll let Warner know.

He just told me that they are re-organizing the Foundry site and his training will be back online in a day or two.

Well worth the wait... great resource!

Almost half-price in digital download, that's nice, even if I usually prefer paper books. Think it ll end on my table soon...

Bought the Kindle version yesterday evening. I briefly flipped through the 552 pages and it looks great. Seems to be alot of Lightwave screen images in amongst the different chapters. Also, there is a lot of digital files to download to go with the book from Peachpit's website. The author provides a link. All in all seems like a great book on compositing. Thanks for the heads up William.

William, let Jon know that I'm loving his book. Had a chance to start reading last night and delve more into each chapter. Great stuff.

Will do. If you get a chance once you've finished the book, add a review to amazon if you can.
