Reading values out of text file (database) for rendering in timeline animation.
Automating the process of showing a lot of different values (from text file) (converted to 3d text objects) in layout for rendering an animation.

I can keyframe all different value's by hand, dissolve, fade in, etc...but that's a lot of work.
Is there a possibility to automate this proces?
Showing for instance a countdown or/ and reading values out of a database so I can render them?

Have you looked into object replacement? I don't believe you can generate geometry on the fly like that.

Reading values out of text file (database)

You would need custom made plugin..

I never used object replacement before ;-) - will check that one! Thanks!

In short, No. Nothing exists for this. Closest thing I have heard of is the TriCaster guys taking RSS feeds and turning them into scrolling lower thirds, but that isn't 3D. And to be honest, I never read their solution. I just know it has been something they have been working on.

LW may be the wrong tool for the job. This may be better suited for something like AfterEffects.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but if you're using a Mac I've used this software before: http://www.beedocs.com/timeline3D/movies/

It creates 3D timelines.

Python would be perfect for this kind of thing.
It would require writing a custom 'plugin' as sensei said.
I could do it for you, but I would require paying :)
