View Full Version : Surface renders differently every time I render?

Certain surfaces render differently for me if I re-render a set of frames on one CPU. Also happens if I use screamernet to render... I get a flickering effect as one CPU renders the surface one way and the other another way. Do I need to do something before rendering to ensure surfaces render the same every time?

If you have GI, you might need to bake GI cache and lock it.

Sounds like what you're using is using randomization. Each time it's different random values. Therefore renders differ.
But you provided no info, nor scene..

I'll dig up more details tonight. It only seems to happen on glossy/bumpy surfaces. I don't believe I'm using randomization.
