It would be great to have another lightwave presets site for newbies and vet's alike. If I'm not mistaken PresetCentral is no longer and I don't know of any others. I'm thinking it would be a Joomla website (CMS controlled). Have several admins/moderators that can upload and organize presets as they are sent into a central email address for uploading. Eventually maybe having users upload themselves, but that might not be quite as organized. If there is enough interest in this thread I will consider creating a site that us as a community could manage.

Ideally, I think if LW3DG would just integrate something that our Presets folder pulled up a community DB behind the scenes that would be fantastic! Something maybe you would have to pay for (extra revenue stream for them) but I don't see that coming anytime soon...hopefully I'm wrong.

Anyone with ideas or concerns, comments on how this could become a reality (website presets by community that is)....I'm open to ideas and thoughts. Thanks!

I had not. This looks promising. Someone has already taken the first step. Great!

I just wonder if this preset site will be offline link not available in the lightwave page as a resource, the old preset central site never made it to the lightwave community pages...so no wonder it wasnīt updated as often as it could have been.
and same goes with the question in these post...

This shouldnīt be hidden for us or newbies, I also didnīt notice it until now...maybe that says something about the lightwave groups lack of recognizing good resources and make them visible.

Well, now you know, let all roads lead to Rome, start submitting quality presets so that this can become the resource we've wanted for years. If you are finding the site a bit clunky right now, and you think you have the skills to help improve it, then contact the creator who is openly asking for help. It is very much a work in progress and improvements can always be made, but the important thing is that the preset content library keep growing.

uhhm...I only got two hypervoxel presets previously uploaded to preset central :)
seem to be more of surface only preset states right now.

Maybe also says something about using New Posts and Subscriptions to try to see what is going on, instead of looking at the actual forums that have recent activity and visiting them. The new Presets Initiative thread (http://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?143047-LightWave-Preset-Scene-*-for-building), to take the place of the unceremoniously abandoned Preset Central, has been active for, what, a couple of months. Not that LW3DG shouldn't take advantage of this growing excellent resource and foster it, but to put it all on them is a bit unfair. If users do due diligence, they will easily come across that which is right here in plain sight to be found. Five pages, as of this writing. Nothing hidden about it. People just don't take time to look. When that happens, another redundant thread gets started and the forum database uselessly swells.
