I've put together a little tutorial on getting Bullet Dynamics into AE. No baking or even geometry needed. I used it on a project earlier in the year, possibly more specific to my needs but there might be something in there of interest.

There's a couple of mistakes and my terminology is all over the place, but you'll get the idea! Hope you like it :D

What script is that 'send item to Lightwave 3D'?

It ships with LW, on a mac you can find it here:

124817

Drop it into your AE Plug-ins folder.

If you have a large scene, I recommend you hunt down Ae Enhancers "AE3D_Export.jsx" script. I think its this one, 3rd post down (http://aenhancers.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1968&start=60). It does everything you select in one go, and creates a LWS file. It also works on layers in world space rather than local space (which the LW one does) so if items are parented in AE the positions get written correctly. BE WARNED, though - the scene it creates seems a bit flakey and has somehow screwed up my configs on a number of occasions. If using, open an older version of LW (incase it does corrupt something) and Load Items from Scene - select items in the exported LWS file. Save that and then it should be safe to use. I was going to talk about that but wanted to keep it as short as poss.

I may start a thread about the AE3D_Export.jsx issue, see if some clever peeps can update it to current standards(?).

Thanks for that, I never knew about that AE plugin that you had to add, figured the GO AE took care of all that. I have that other AE3D export script, I discovered that the scenes it creates were going to my desktop, because it doesn't ask you, it just does it, works good but. I also bought the AE link plugin which is great but he hasn't updated it yet. Now I can watch the rest of your tutorial.
