Hi

I just unpacked my DFX+ and Lightwave package and played a little with it.

I figured that I can load sound into the scene which plays when I preview the scene.

When I export to a quicktime the sound is not in the movie, but when I do a avi it works. Any idea about the quicktime ?

And how about sound effects on special events, does DF support something like AE does ?

I ran across the same thing and it took me a while to figure it out. Buried in the manual is a statement that says that sound is not saved when rendering to a quicktime file but it is with an AVI, as both you and I have discovered. As for event driven sounds, that is not something that DFX+ does. Gotta remember that DFX+ is a compositing and effects package and not intended for final composition of a project as AfterEffects is, so sound is really not an option. What I could suggest is getting an off the shelf piece of software called ACID. This will let you import a finished file such as AVI or MOV and add sound to it. Just a thought.
