I have created a wireframe object of a head a la Essential Lightwave 3D-7.5 but I've been unsucessful in covering the wireframe. The message that I get from spline patches is that the curves don't cross properly. Even so I've tried a very simple figure -4 concentric circles , and have gotten the same error message. 1)Can I use "spline draw" to make the wireframe?
2) If a line becomes curved when using the "make closed curve" operation does this exclude its use as part of a quad?
3) Are there several methods for creating quad surfaces? If so what are they?
4) Can I modify "pen" so that I can make an open curve"?

hop over to splinegod.com, online tutorials, bottom of page, all you need to know to get started with splines...

just hit "m" and merge the points. Or select where the points overlap and hit ctrl+w to weld... or is it just w? I can't remember and I'm too lazy to check. Welding is the best way, merging is the quickest (I've had a few probs with just merging though)
