View Full Version : Is this a bug? Standard Material GI buffer different from normal Transparency

Was using Material Mixer to have a custom and a transparent shader. But was having artifacts in the render. Meaning, the transparent parts were still casting occlusion in the GI. If I used the normal Transparency, no problems.

So isolated the scene elements and this is what I came to find: Standard Material transparency at 100% + "Use Transparency" in the GI Options will make those shadows you see in the second line.


Is this normal? At the right the GI buffer. The Standard Material with 100% Transparency makes a different one than normal Transparency 100%

Reportable, or I'm missing something here?

"Directional Rays" must be ON too so I don't see any issues. The buffer is still different though :)
