I wrote this tutorial last week and forgot to share it ! for experienced users it's probably quicker & best you just open up the scene file ....

Barely scratching the surface of LightWave3D [LW] powerful “Instancing” feature, this guide is a quick introduction into generating topology and assigning image maps which can be used to influence the colour, positioning and other variables of the instances. Harnessing Nodes and a little bit of pixel wizardry our goal is to create a complex looking piece of art that is colourful, imaginative yet simple to setup, the overall methods and functionality explained can be “Tweaked” further, Initially geared towards the beginner we will try to keep the terminology brief and the workflow straight forward

Thanks, cool idea and very well documented. Will you write a tutorial for your Nature picture and how to apply the Ivy Generator too? That would awesome.

perhaps if I get time mate , I just started on this render ( wip) which is a little more complicated.

Wow, this is becoming really good! The sky is now much butter but maybe add more details (Shrooms etc.) like on the Nature one. Sorry, you said wip :-)

from the king of tuts , I'm humbled :)

easier just to fire this render here , got bored of modelling decided to try out google filters
