OT:

I would <3 if LW3dG could wrangle plugins not only via their database but actually deliver the plugins to someone's computer.

E.g. you launch LW, log in to the plugin DB, and it installs the set of plugins in your account to your machine.

Sorry, not really. Some are shaders, and some are for programmers who will know what they do.
I am working on a video about path tracing however.

Even that level of division would be an assist.

It's working! )) The truth is a lot of noise, which is difficult to control. But in principle Path Tracing in LW possible!

You import them when you are in the node editor. Right click, and there is a menu for improting a node.

is there any way to make advanced effects such as SubSurface Scattering or Car Paint with the Path Tracer ?

I think subsurface scattering offends one of the 3 basic principles used in path tracing. Not sure which one. Car paint should be a matter of getting the right BDRF.
