Maybe it's just me... :o

When LW first came out, I used to program AREXX scripts all the time: I even made one that 'cubified' a mesh to make a low-poly standin.

I wrote a couple of LScripts, but always was running into walls, so tapered off. I haven't written anything in Python yet-- it seems highly verbose.

Anecdata, fer sure, but was AREXX so much friendlier than LScript/Python?

(Certainly Ryan's latest excursions make me want to know Python/LW.)

Arexx was based around inter process communication. It just doesn't seem to be possible or practical under present operating systems, so I understand why it isn't used anymore.

I understand why (thanks, virus writers) but: maybe I was just smarter back then, ARexx seemed a lot easier to LEARN than even Lscript.

:sigh: Well, I'm hammering my head against Python now.
