One day someone is going to make a full-length feature film like this and I cannot wait! I'm fed up with the cartoony stuff Hollywood keeps churning out. Even Pixar is a shadow of its former self, thanks to the Disneyfication of its output.

It seems that teenage girls are Disney's target market for some reason.

Blizzard's cinematics are always top notch. The Elder Scrolls and Diablo 3 trailers are outstanding as well. I'd love to have a full length movie of any of these!

There's a small difference between making two minute cinematic(around 6-8 months) and doing full-length feature - 90 minutes, do the math and you'll get the idea;)

So I've got this really cool script that's all set to go. If they start tomorrow then... okay so maybe I'll need to use a walker to get to the stage to pickup the award. I'll even cut out the singing Snowman.

Well... I'm going to be contentious.

If one takes into account the number of people that Blizzard have working on their cinematics, and the resources they have, and the equipment, and the time...

In short, if one properly considers the level at which Blizzard is supposed to be functioning when it comes to things like cinematics... then this work is kind of crap. Everything about it is "Just good enough..."

You disagree?

Look at Blur's work in the same field. Look at the way it looks...
http://vimeo.com/blurstudioinc/videos
It's impossible to deny that Blur's work, just visually, is in a different league. Here, some specific examples:

http://vimeo.com/101950333
http://vimeo.com/71928275
http://vimeo.com/58912763
It isn't even just the way it looks, though, the directing in Blur's cinematics is almost always much better than Blizzard manages.

And I've used Blur as my example, but I could have used others. Compare Blizzard's work with Digic Pictures' work:

Nah. Blizzard's cinematics are always exactly average. Never terrible, but never anything like as good as they really should be either.
