Is there a way to save all of your instances at a given frame to positioned geometry in Modeler?

Yeah, there's a python script that does this. Check your plugins/scripts/python folder.

(hijacking topic) I feel this is another case where "tool search" would come in handy: https://fogbugz.newtek.com/default.asp?52343_j2u5pqog

Do search tools in applications allow users to add tags to them? Because, for example, TAGGING seems like a better way to organize Search than simply a tool name.

The first tag WOULD be the tool name. "SAVE TRANSFORMED INSTANCES"

But subsequent tags would allow conceptual .... context?... anyway, more hint search goodness.

All should allow users to find this function. Of course, you're going to get multiple hits, but IMO that's OK.

I recently baked out instances for a football stadium. Don't know if this will help you, but my processes (and plugins used) are described in here: http://forums.newtek.com/archive/index.php/t-141669.html

Thanks Empchan and Waves of Light, I'll look into those methods.

I agree that a tool search tool, with lots of plausible tags for when you dont know the name of the tool you are looking for would be cool...
