seems e-onsoftware managed to bring in some cloud technology for realtime atmospheric in to Lumen.
seem to be a lower quality reduced cloud rendering, and maybe not so editable as vue..but specially adapted for fast architechtural skies.

OT - would be neat if companies like https://www.renderrocket.com/ offered a plugin which completely automated render-farm rendering. Like CCache does for compiling code, it would invisibly operate when you hit F9 and ferry the job off to the render farm.

yepp..the answer I got from eon, It is Realtime, and it is limited compared to vue, that is understandable....

It's fully real-time, but the level of control is necessarily a lot more limited than in VUE. You see most of the controls in the video."

hereīs my answer with some thoughts about it...

"Thanks, thatīs what I kind of thought It would be, fully understandable that it is necessarily to be more limited and scaled down in shading lighting quality and control in order to get real time control, it is still impressive.
Though I suspect the quality needs to be in final renders sometimes, I have wondered why no one can provide a fast realtime system, like this, for the setup so to speak and once you have set you sky mood and light and cloud, you should be able to activate more advanced lighting and cloud control like the most controls in vue, for that extra final touch, that is my suggestion of how I would like it to be.

So something like this that is the real time level 1 setup, then introducing a level 2 advanced more time consuming rendering with the level 1 setup as a base and jumping to level 2 for that extra realism and quality, which would require longer processing times, but at least you can deal with that if you can get a decent showcase within the level 1 setup.

Thanks for the info, if you guys can provide a demo trial for us to test it, it would be sweet.

Another impressive real time editing feature, real time live time placing of objects in the scene, which seems to be very easy to navigate and place anywhere within the scene with such ease, all with shading going on and ever real time clouds moving
in the background scene and while wind is blowing in the trees, must be very nice for archviz.
