How am I supposed to slow down all my particles? Sound ridiculously easy but it is not.

well, the drag wind will do it, but I wanted to envelope the playback speed rather

You could save a .pfx and then I think you can envelope the playback speed ( percentage )

yes saving out pfx can be done and even reverse the particle with playback speed...

but for slowing down, why not simply set an envelope on the particles velocity channel? or set a gradient there, you could also fiddle with resistance and weight.

I did it with a drag field because it stops the particles in a real nice way, I just had to figure out the proper values.
No need to go over 100% force because above that value particles start behaving erratically.
Resistance and velocity is not good because those values are assigned when particles are born and will not change
during the simulation. So the newborn will stay close to the emitter but the once born particles fly and die away
and I wanted them to slow down and stop in "midair", so to say.
