View Full Version : Need to bake procedural color to UV map, need suggestions

'Ahoyhoy', I recently completed a model of a dragon that I am quite happy with, so far I have completed the bump maps for this character, and started messing with gradient mapping the color channel. I came up with something I rather like but I want to add more detail to this map. The best way I can think of would be to bake this gradient color map to a UV so i can take it into photo shop and edit it accordingly. So far my experiments with the baker result in baking the shadows on to the color map, needless to say i dont want this. So I guess my question is, is there proper way to do this?

If you want to bake color but no shadows, maybe you should turn off Bake Illumination...
