Someone sent me a model of a bracelet they'd like to have scaled down into a ring (both for 3D printing). The problem is that the bracelet model came into LW at about 400 feet across. I remember this being discussed before with importing OBJs. Is there a percentage to scale it down so that it's the exact correct size in LW?

Try 1/1000 = 0.1%

ps. Forget about imperial units...
Are you able from memory tell how many inches is 400 feet divided by 1000 ??

400 * 0.3m = 120m / 1000 = 12 cm

I'm terrible with math. lol It looks like 0.1% did it. I'll have to check with the client but it's now 3.8" across which sounds about right for a bracelet.

OBJ coord 1.0 is 1 km = 1000 m.
1.0 in LW is 1m

Even Einstein would suck in calcs in imperial units.. ;)

Actually, that one is fairly easy. 400 ft x 12 in = 4800 / 1000 = 4.8 inches. But you are correct, metric is way easier.
