I'm still trying to learn IK and having some problems. Bones are moving and it's not working.I created a segmented cylinder. I used four bones (see included pic).I first drew a bone ,then three children. I also hit record pivot rotation to unlock my rings. I created a null and put it at the tip of the last child bone. In the motion dialog for that bone I used the null as the goal object and full time IK was selected. I then under rotation for heading and pitch I selected IK. I then did this for all the bones. For the first bone I checked unaffected by IK. I also had enable IK button selected. The bones move and other times it doesn't work. Any suggestions?(I'm doing a tutorial) Also when do I use IK on rotation as opposed to position or do I do both. Thanks.

Put IK only on the rotation if you're wanting a regular "bending chain", and only one ONE CHANNEL... multichannel, rotational IK like this wont work.
