View Full Version : Import 3D studio Max 8 models?

Hi all,

I found a pretty good model of Turbo the snail which I need to animate for my son's birthday. Unfortunately, we are also in the process of moving and I now have little time available. I found a nice model that is not specifically for Lightwave, but would it import into LW modeler without too much hassle?

Low poly 3D model of a cartoon , that of a snail like Turbo produced in 3d Studio Max 8 .

In 3D Studio Max Version Only: The model is " rigged " finely " skinned " , ready to be animated.

The scene is exactly the same as the presentation image with the effect of light.

Some morphing as image presentation are set.

Included " morph change ."

Eyes and pupils are separated snail .

All objects are mapped Unwrapped .

Own mesh.

Ready to be made for your images or animations 3D .

Weight Zip file: 59.3 MB.

Formats : Max 8, 3ds, Obj, Fbx, Stl.

Polygons : 7360 .
Vertices : 3696 .
Uv mapped yes.
Unwrapped Uvs yes.

Test this with a free model see if this works for you.

Lightwave reads .obj and FBX so you should be fine. With the FBX format you might retain some of the scene structure if you load it in layout.
