View Full Version : Patch rebuild help

In process of building this object as a SubD deleted my initial surface and am totally failing at rebuilding it, any suggestions. was thinking of building a grid over top and working from that.


Far Left and right holes have only an inner top loop to hold it as a circle, rest of the holes stay straight edged by having loops run in both directions as can be seen below.

Select edge pair, and bridge them.
Then repeat it with all closest edges as much as you can.
Then select remaining points, and create polygon.

Thanks for the reply Sensei.
What do you think of this, is it creating too much excess geometry?
I've built grids to even out the point spreads, essentially building grid squares then started to bridge together the edges of the squares.

Unless I'm not understanding the situation (probably) can't you just freeze it and then reduce polys, or manually combine them, and then make adjustments from there if necessary to get back the the original mesh?
