View Full Version : Limit bullet dynamics to two axis' ?

Hey gang. I am relatively green to bullet dynamics, having played with it when first implemented into LightWave, but rarely used in production.

Right now I am doing a very basic test for a project that has a ball rolling down a simple ramp. However I find that bullet dynamics are maybe TOO realistic in that it throws it to the side by a degree or two which gets more exaggerated the further it travels. I really just need the ball to travel properly down the ramp (still tweaking that), but only travel 'straight' once leaving the ramp. I find no way of locking the dimensions that the ball is able to travel in.

I find that my key-framed animations of a ball going down the ramp just don't look right.

Also if anybody has some insights into the general nature of bullet dynamics for me, that would be great.

You could bake the animation and remove the keys from the drifting axis.

Just add two invisible walls down the slope?
