Hi Guys,

I got a weird flickering problem in my animations. The effect is random streaks of slightly lighter tones across the render frame. It looks like vhs with bad tracking. I've checked the polygons to make sure there were no coplaners, or polys that could be unified. I have volumetric lights and lights that project patterns. Is there a secret setting that solves this somewhere?

Here is what I am talking about:

If you want I can package up the scene so you can have a closer look at it in the settings.

It isn't a problem with multi-threading fortunately

Looks like radiosity flickering to me.

It isn't a problem specific to one particular light source

as for radiosity, none of my global illumination settings are on

and it has nothing to do with shadows

I'm almost certain it has to do with my ground object. I'm going to replace it and see what happens.

Yes that is the problem. My ground model had lots of really thin triangles and I think that's why I'm seeing the artifacts.

What camera are you using?

This is a long shot but I had a problem with some procedurals, so if you're using procedural textures, try disabling them and see if that fixes it.
