One thing I don't like about PDF dox-- in contrast to the MOST things I like about PDF dox-- is that on MY system (ymmv), the Bookmarks are all expanded.

This makes it impossible to easily see/get an overview of the file's contents. :twak:

IS there a way to have the Bookmarks, which are the de facto Table of Contents, start out in the, to ME, more convenient collapsed state?

OR, is there a user-specific setting that makes this possible?

EDIT: I see that there's a reasonably, but laborious if repeated Every Damn Time, quick way to collapse the Bookmarks to "Top-Level Bookmarks" in the Adobe PDF Reader, but I don't yet see a way to make that permanent/default.

OK, here's how to get the Bookmarks into a default collapsed state, it's easy:

Using the little OPTIONS panel in the Bookmark section, collapse them all;
use SAVE AS and just save over the original file.

When next you launch that PDF, the Bookmarks will be much more manageable. :rock:
