View Full Version : Mortality and you.

I've been thinking about mortality, and I have decided this.

I want to die in a bizarre Photoshop accident that's best left unsolved. Preferably a pirated copy.

I am not sure exactly how this would happen, bilinear pixelation with a drop shadow perhaps.

What is a software way you'd want to go? Crushed by chrome balls on a grid and incinerated by lens flares maybe? Plain ol' blue screen?

Being buried in a Minecraft land slide! Seeing as I have never played Minecraft this further affirms my goal to live forever!!!

Found, completely frozen, with a little spinning multicoloured disc above my head...

The unsolved part...they found you sitting at an Amiga! Ahhh!

Can't be games, you can respawn in games. This has to be a complete I/O failure.

I would like to be smothered in a epic soft body collision. Maybe even two of them.

I see games are off the table on this thread but I can't help it...sorry!

There's a section in Barbarian from the 80's where if you didn't kill the attacking creature just right, you'd end up falling off a cliff. It was amusing/maddening because it didn't scroll smoothly to the bottom. Watching your character go from screen to screen just waiting was irritating and funny at the same time.

Too much guru meditation here?

Dying while gaming is old hat, dying during a particle emitter recalculation could be epic though.

I want to be "uninstalled", but still leave traces in the registry so I can properly haunt at a later date...:)

Excellent! I hadn't thought about binary boogie men!

There's how I'd like to go... and how I would probably go. My wife's family would love to speak with me, so I'm trying the Rosetta Stone method. So how I'll probably go is some quirk endless loop of being nagged at in another language.
How I'd like to go... I rather think back to the movie brainstorm. That endless loop of happy ending.

Disembodied by a wave of light after an ultimate render !

That sounds like syndication. Worked for Star Trek.

Do you get to see the render the instant before disembodiment?

Dunno... this will be (or not) a little irony of life.

Had a massive heart attack myself Feb 1. Open heart surgery Valentines Day. Pixels were fading before my eyes my friends. Not my time to log off though. Rebooted.

Since this thread was started by Shrox, how about flying into a hypervoxel version of The Doomsday Machine like Commodore Decker?! :)

Being sucked by supermassive black hole, that would be cool:)

I had a crash and rebooted the same way back in 2008.
Considering how crazy it sounds, it was pretty easy.

I don't want my next lifetime to be as a human.

Rather, I want to come back as a 3D software program of my choice. Probably Form Z.
