View Full Version : Where is my Spline Draw??

Help! I am just learning to use Lightwave 7.5c on Mac OS X, and I am going through some tutorials on creating geometry. One of the methods mentioned was drawing with the "Spline Draw" tool (in Modeler), but I cannot find that anywhere! I know it should be under the "CREATE" tab, and somewhere under the ELEMENTS sub category. I tried going to my modify interface submenu and I could not find any option that said "SPLINE DRAW". Is this a problem with my preferences?? thanks!

Try rescanning your plugin and Lscript directories

How do I do that? rescan??? Do I have to delete a preference file, and if so, from where?

No you don't need to delete prefs, just use

Modeler>Plugins>Edit Plugins and hit the 'Scan Directory' button.

Thanks! I wonder why that did that? Now I have many more options. Maybe because I launched it once without the USB dongle, so it was as "discovery edition". Hmm.. But it is working now. Thank you.

I think pref files can become corrupted sometimes if LW crashes when quiting. Not sure about that??

But I'd also scan your 'Legacy Plugin/Lscript' plugin directory and check the Construct>Additional menu for a mas of unmapped tools.
