Was playing around with the Align and Distribute tools in Layout. (v.11.6) and curious if there is another setting I missed or does undo not work at all with this tool?

Are you talking about native tools or this plugin: https://www.lightwave3d.com/assets/plugins/entry/align-and-distribute/

nope, rather the Align / Distribute in Layout 11.6 (located under "Arrange")

That's what I thought. Nevermind :)

Yes and thank you :)
It's been a while since I touched my plugins. Unfortunately I suffer from chronic lack of time. I thought maybe some recent LW changes/updates broke something in my code.
P.s. sorry for hijacking the thread.

no worries....

Just the point being then, well what is the point in making the point anymore... it speaks for itself.

Lord knows we have beaten this one to death.

They are LScripts, which I don't think are undoable in Layout.

Well could this not have been coded so it could be undone?

Could you maybe script a button to undo the last Lscript command? Or at least fake it. Capture the last positions and then put everything back with one button?

Just tossing out ideas.

My script does that (I think?) The native one could probably do that too ;)

speaking of that super useful plugin from artssphere (http://www.artssphere.com/plugins/alignanddistribute.php) again, it seems not to work correctly under LW2015 when using models with more than a layer. layers seem to get moved around and with a bit more complex geometry, the OSX spinning beachball runs forever... maybe mac issues?

would be so great if this could be fixed. or is there any alternative to align geometry consisting of connected polys to a plane/ axis?

cheers

Markus,

Art's plug is working for me in 2015 mac Yosemite.
I only tested with simple stuff though....

sorry if this sounds flippant, it's not meant to be...

How about the Align tool :D? Or did I miss something?

(geometry, granted very simple geometry, in two different layers aligning to one background object)

Distribute is another story.
