Hey there all.

Still pottering along with little side projects. Decided to give hair and fur ago.
Quickly gave up with Fiber FX - apart from crashing quite regularly for no apparent reason, found it did not give the results I wanted.

Quickly started to get results I liked from Instancing.

First test:

I initially liked the design, but then realized it looked nothing like anything real world.

Second and final:

It took about a night to get a look I liked. One of the major issues I found was the models I used for hair I created all the strands pointing straight up or only on a slight angle, this caused the issue of being able to see through to the model at the right angle, and having very dark shadows in part of the hair. Would have looked shocking on a turntable rnder. Changed the hair models to have the hair running in a lot more disorganized fashion on more severe angles, which stopped the shadow issue when I hit the right instance density.
