View Full Version : Inhert Function Problem, Help...

I am unable to get the Inherit function to work in Ted.
The Clip has been positioned to the bottom left corner, it has a fade in and a fade out, also it has Overlay enabled.

I grab a crouton then hold down Alt, it shows that it will inherit when its put on top of the clip its going to replace.
Then as soon as I let go it puts the clip into place with the right length, position and fades, but it shows only the end of the clip?
If I try to move the in point back to the beginning where I want it, the clip goes to black instead of showing the beginning of the clip? Is this a Bug?
Having to replace all of the variables for the position, and the fades will be a big pain.
The Inherit function seems to work with non-Overlay clips just fine,.

Any Ideas????

This can happen if you try to inherit dissimilar clip-types (such as inheriting an RTV on top of an AVI.

Hi Paul,

Both Clips are .RTV's.
Should this work with an Overlay Clip?

Yes, you can inherit one overlay clip on top of another; don't know why it's not working.
