Hi

I've been using the dielectric mode for a while for liquids in bottles, but quite often I'd like to make the liquid, say 50% transparent. The only thing it seems I can do is to change the absorption but that changes the colour too drastically towards darker/black. It would be nice to be able to make, say, an orange squash drink with 50% opacity, but stay nice and bright. Is there a way to do this?

Cheers,
Alex

Also, use LightWolf's DB+W Tools (http://www.db-w.com/products/dbwtools/docs). Docs here (http://wiki.db-w.com/tools). In there are Material Booster and Material Tweaker. You can boost/attenuate parameters of Materials independently. Material Blender is great for putting a coating on Dielectric, partially silvered mirror, for instance.
