I was thinking about - even if it's just for my hobby - to pay for render services to render elaborate animations that would take weeks to render on my computer.
If I wanted to do a 5 minute animation where each frame takes 10 minutes to render, I'd have to render 50 days non stop, while some render farms I found in a quick (http://garagefarm.net) Google (http://www.ranchcomputing.com) search (http://www.rebusfarm.net) would do it in 50 minutes to 8 hours, at a seemingly reasonable price. That's an attractive thought.

What are good render farms that support LightWave? Pricing, usability, reliability, safety...

And what are the things to consider on my side? Like, for example, the use of third party plugins in my scenes.

Any recommendations and advice are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Rob

+1 garagefarm.net . If it's personal work and no deadline, low priority is very cheap.
