View Full Version : Pointers on how to achieve a certain look ?

Aiming for this look, and i was thinking alot of the job could be done through Photoshop and a tablet.

But i was wondering on how to achieve the specular, when the light changes in the scene ?

Any tips at all related to texturing, lighting, and render settings would be awesome.


Have done some modelling and just started on the surfacing

You'd definitely create the bulk of the final look in post-processing (in After Effects, or Photoshop if it's just stills you're after).
In terms of the 3D side, use image-based lighting (download some HDR skydomes) to light the model, so you have nice soft, natural shadows. And maybe use some ambient occlusion and noise procedurals to dirty up the surfaces (and add texture)
