Rules:
1. Every week there will be a subject for you to model along with a time limit. You should spend no longer than the allocated time, then post a render of your model. As in most challenges like this, your honesty on modelling times is essential. How you interpret the brief is up to you as long as the final model conforms to what is asked for.
2. Post a wire-frame and a render at 800x600 or larger. (For wireframe help go to: http://www.artssphere.com/plugins/polygoncoloring.php
3. LightWave must be used for modelling. 3rd party Plug-ins are allowed.
4. You can enter as many times as you like, posting each in this thread. If you run over the time, the model can still be posted but won't be subject to the judging.
5. Time spent on texturing, setting up a scene for a render and rendering is not included in the allocated period.
6. The winner is judged by the challenge starter and the prize is to set up the challenge after next week's.

So very late with this...Had to replace half the cooling system in my workstation.

Lots of LWCAD Pipe tool here, along with box and mass round. Approx. 45 minutes modeling time, including getting the geometry to render right...

I attempted something before the deadline, however, it was beyond terrible.

Nice table, I wouldn't mind a table like that with the arch and legs all as one piece. I'll have to add woodworking to the hobby list.

It needs 2 pieces between each pair of legs to make it a viable table, and this one would best be done in metal...

LWCAD does an excellent job, but LW's renderer does not like some of the geometry it produces.

Well, I think imma declare Kryslin the winner for this round, even if it was past the deadline.

I've just started tinkering with LWCAD myself, and I would never have thought to use it for something like this ^^

Never underestimate LWCAD's pipe tool for making twisty/bendy tubes. Switch to curve mode, and start making stuff.

Mass round is great for making round corners.

Someone needs to poke Swampy about getting #253 going (I think he won the Lego people one). I'll start up on Wednesday, 2 April 14.
